The answer is simple and quite charming 🌼 The idea for the app came from the concept of unconditional love, which persists regardless of circumstances and expects nothing in return. This concept is represented by the Greek goddess Agape, who, according to mythology, carried a ribbon to wrap around two or more people, literally sealing bonds of love and affection. This symbolic ribbon was very inspiring to us, which is why we named the project ribbon, simply dropping one "b" to make it easier 😉

Yes! With the Ribon app - whether you're on the Basic or Business Plan - you receive free donation tickets every day. Then, simply choose the causes you want to support with those tickets. These tickets are funded by Ribon’s partners, so there’s no cost to you. If you'd like to contribute even more and help grow this chain of good, you can also become a Ribon Ambassador by subscribing to one of our plans and receive extra tickets daily.

The donation funds come from companies and organizations that want to promote a culture of giving by transforming part of their social budget into impact through Ribon. By supporting these causes, they encourage more people to get involved, amplifying their initial contributions. In addition, an important part of the donation funds comes from individuals who are Ribon Ambassadors and contribute through a monthly subscription.

Donation tickets are like gift vouchers funded by companies and organizations, which you can use to support social projects through the Ribon app without spending anything. Only selected charities and projects can redeem the ticket values.

The value of each ticket varies depending on the moment and the partner company funding it. At the time of donation, you’ll always see the corresponding impact (e.g., 1 ticket = 1 day of early childhood education).

The Ribon app follows four essential steps:

1. Donations from companies and organizations are converted into tickets.
2. These tickets are offered free of charge to users, who choose which causes to support.
3. Users see the impact of their choices at no cost
4. Inspired by the power of choice, many users make donations out of their own pocket to further expand its impact.

Each month, we make the exact transfer to each project, referring to tickets donated that month. You can track the receipts from the nonprofits and financial reports on our website: https://ribon.io/reports/.

We have three types of plans for using the Ribon platform:

• Basic Plan: Receive free tickets daily from Ribon's partners.
• Ambassador Plan: Become a Ribon Ambassador by subscribing to one of our packages and receive more tickets every day to increase your impact.
• Business Plan: Receive tickets through your company as a benefit.

💡 If you're on the Business Plan, you can also become a Ribon Ambassador to earn even more tickets and expand your daily impact.

This depends on your Plan at Ribon!

• Basic Plan: Receive 1 free ticket everyday in the app, allowing you to make one donation per day.
• Ambassador Plan: Subscribe to become a Ribon Ambassador and receive more tickets. The number of tickets depends on the plan you choose. You’ll receive a monthly starter pack and additional tickets every day.
• Business Plan: Receive tickets as a benefit offered by your company. If you’d like, you can subscribe to one of the Ambassador plans to receive even more tickets.

🎁 You can also earn tickets in other ways:

• Completed missions: Finish missions in the app to be rewarded with extra tickets.
• Gifts: Send and receive gifts with friends. When someone opens a gift you sent, you’ll also receive the same number of tickets as a thank-you!
• Invites: Invite new people to Ribon. When they join the app, you’ll earn tickets as a reward for the invitation.

You can donate one or more tickets at a time. Just go to the “Donate tickets” tab, choose the project you want to support, select how many tickets you want to use, and confirm your donation. That’s it!

Each project that enters Ribon has a different minimum impact cost and that is why some projects require 4 minimum tickets, for example, for the donation to be made.

We work with the projects to understand the costs involved and the impact generated. These data are translated into actionable metrics, such as days of impact for example.

To learn more about the Social Projects, open the app and swipe to the right to view the photos and descriptions of each project in the carousel. There, you will find information about the history and activities of the nonprofits featured in the app.

All of your donations are recorded in your profile on the app. You can view and share the good you've done through the "My Impact" tab.

By subscribing to one of our plans, you support the growth of the platform and receive extra tickets daily, along with a monthly ticket pack. With plans starting at 14.90 per month, you can donate more to your favorite causes and help create a better world. Become an Ambassador and join us in making the world a better place ❤️

Being a Ribon Ambassador allows you to amplify your impact with extra ticket packages, supporting even more important projects. We offer 3 packages:

1. $14.90 per month: Receive 3 extra tickets per day and a monthly package of 10 tickets.
2. $39.90 per month: Receive 8 extra tickets per day and a monthly package of 30 tickets.
3. $89.90 per month: Receive 20 extra tickets per day and a monthly package of 60 tickets.

You can pay for your Ribon Ambassador subscription using a credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or, in some cases, via payroll deduction — available to employees of companies that offer this option under the Business Plan.
💡 Payment methods may vary depending on your device, app store, region, or company policy.

Unfortunately, we do not yet have the option to exchange the card automatically. You must cancel your current subscription and do it again with the new card.

You’ll receive an email with instructions to activate your plan. But if you prefer, you can simply download the Ribon app and activate your account using the email chosen by your company - which has already been registered. From there, just log in and start donating with the tickets you receive.

The number of tickets varies according to the package defined by your company - they may be monthly, weekly, or even daily. To check your tickets, open the app and go to the “Get tickets” tab, where you’ll see the tickets available to you.

Yes! You can increase your impact by becoming a Ribon Ambassador, subscribing to one of our monthly plans with extra tickets. It’s a simple way to support more the causes and help transform even more lives.

Your company can see whether you’ve activated your account and made donations, as well as view aggregated engagement and impact metrics. However, it does not have access to the content or details of your individual donations.
If you make an additional contribution through a subscription (including payroll deduction), the fact that you contributed may be visible to the company - especially if the processing is handled internally through HR.

Your access to the corporate plan will end, but your Ribon account will remain active. You can continue donating for free with the daily ticket, and if you’d like to maintain or increase your impact, you can become a Ribon Ambassador at any time.

In most cases, companies choose to support projects that align with their values. When that happens, those projects are made exclusively available to employees in the app. In other situations, you may be able to choose from all the projects available on the platform.

• Business Plan: You will see projects selected by your company.

We are not currently accepting new nonprofit applications on the platform. At this time, our solution is focused on companies that run fundraising campaigns with their employees. In this model, the companies themselves choose the participating organizations and provide the financial contributions.
