The free donations (tickets) are funded by our patrons, who are companies, foundations, and philanthropists interested in making a substantial donation to a social cause.

When a ticket is donated, it 'stamps' that value for the social project chosen by the user. Ribon then compiles a report with the sum of all donated tickets, separated by project, and based on this, we make payments to the institutions according to this distribution.

Currently, we are studying the best way to provide you with a transparency statement for this entire process. For now, you can contact our support to confirm if your donation has already reached the nonprofit.

When you 'Donate with Ribon', your donation will be converted into donation tickets that will be used to assist the nonprofits of the cause you selected. You will continue the chain of kindness, amplifying the impact of NGOs and encouraging new donors, just like our patrons!

If you prefer, you can also make a 'Direct Donation'. In this donation method, the money is transferred directly to the nonprofit you choose. We recommend this option when you have a specific nonprofit that you really like, as your donation will not be part of the chain of kindness that generates new donors.

Ribon has a team dedicated to the work of selecting nonprofits, with the aim of identifying institutions that are trustworthy, have a significant impact and are aligned with the donations made by our patrons (sponsors).

If you work for an nonprofit and would like it to be included on Ribon's platform, you can submit the nonprofit to the evaluation process. Applications will be submitted to our team. If the nonprofit meets the selection criteria, we will contact you to provide information on the next steps. The entire evaluation process is free of charge.

We prioritize more impact for less cost so that your help reaches those in need today. The nonprofits that can achieve more with your donation are those working in regions of greater poverty. That's why African and Asian institutions are the majority on the platform.

This doesn't mean we will never have local nonprofits here again! We're working on it.

For our donors, Blockchain offers a way to audit the donation process, since all transactions become traceable.
